Bio T H E G I R L | oh my name it aint nothin, my age it means less. the country i come from is called the midwest i'm allison and when i grow up i want to be either the white house curator, a restorer of rare documents, or marion ravenwood. i'll probably be a combination of all three. i'm nineteen, a college freshmen and an iowa transplant. i'm originally from the chicagoland area and much as you don't think it's going to be different two hours from home, it is. people are nicer here and they ask a lot of questions. i'm a nerd who watches cnn for fun. don't judge me, mtv dependents. i like politics, movies that are older than me, books, being a snarky bitch, naps, and sunday afternoons when i have nothing else to do but sleep. i have a serious aversion to capital letters. i am addicted to half price bookstores. it's a curse that i am willing to live with. i have yet to decide if i like college or not. i'm a reader. specifically, i like a healthy mixture of substance and chick lit, preferably historical fiction. i like mysteries, especially if i guess the villain correctly in the middle. that's satisfaction at it's best. i have recently become hooked on romance novels and you know its getting bad when the name sebastian no longer reminds you of an animated crab, but the cranky hero in a loretta chase novel. i chose the name ally-truistic for a few reasons. number one, hot_bitch34 was taken (damnit). number two, it's a play on my name and one of my favorite words. and number three, it's what i aspire to be. ally·tru·is·tic –adjective 1. unselfishly concerned for or devoted to the welfare of others (opposed to egoistic). -noun 2. eighteen year old female species found mostly in the wilds of eastern iowa; history major in a school full of nursing majors |
